For a person to be coachable, three things must be true. These are:
1. The person who desires coaching must have an issue(s) or behavior(s) he or she would like to change.
2. The person desiring to be coached must be willing to make some changes in his or her life or be open to thinking about things differently.
3. The person who desires coaching must be willing to allow another party (the coach) into the process.
If these requirements are met, then you are likely coachable. This is not true in absolutely all cases, but it is for the vast majority.
